Preparing for any type of exam can be stressful, but there are plenty of things you can do to help you feel calm and confident on test day. The Entrance & Scholarship Exam is no exception, so we’ve compiled a short but helpful list of things to take into consideration as you prepare to take this exciting step toward your future.
1. Get your materials together the night before. Check with your testing location ahead of time to find out what materials you need to bring with you. Set these things aside ahead of time to prevent a last-minute scramble the morning of the test.
2. Rest properly and fuel with brain food. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep the night before and, if possible, the nights leading up to the test. Eating a healthy, well-rounded breakfast the morning of is also important to keeping you full and focused for the duration of the exam.
3. Stick to a manageable study schedule. Do not pile on unnecessary stress by waiting until the last minute to cram for the exam. Set aside time to study each day leading up to the exam and allow for longer study sessions during the week prior. Your study schedule should include time to attend a review session at your school(s) of choice. Times and dates for each session are listed below.
4. Save the date and set an alarm. Mark your calendars for the day of the Entrance & Scholarship Exam to act as a reminder and to help you mentally prepare for test day. Give yourself plenty of time to get ready the morning of and be sure to arrive at the test site early enough to get settled.
